CMS XiO® 3-DIMENSIONAL TREATMENT PLANNING SYSTEM

The Welch Cancer Center is equipped with the most technologically advanced treatment planning system available. The CMS XiO® Treatment Planning System contains sophisticated computer algorithms which allow the physician to set the required dose distribution to the tumor volume, while defining dose constraints to nearby critical structures.

The computer analyzes thousands of possible treatment plans, then selects the plan that best matches the objectives set by the physician.
